Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist

August 19, 2009 - Two teenagers meet and fall in love during a crazy night in New York City in which they go in search of a band called "Where's Fluffy?" That's the basic plot of this movie starring Michael Cera as Nick and Kat Dennings as Norah.

Nick is a sensitive guy who plays in a band with two gay friends and makes mix CDs for Tris, who recently dumped him. Norah is Tris's friend. When Tris throws away Nick's mixes, she picks them out of the trash.

Nick and Norah first meet at a club where Nick's band is playing. Tris and her new boyfriend show up, Norah tags along. In an attempt to prove to Tris that she is not lame, Norah approaches Nick (not knowing that he's Tris's ex), and asks him to be her boyfriend for five minutes. That five minutes turns into an unforgettable and life-changing night.

Overall review: *** The title implies that the movie will be about music, but it's not really about the music. Music is more of a backdrop or a plot device. This movie is really about being a friend and falling in love. It's entertaining and well-done.
