Office Christmas Party

January 26, 2018 - When their office is threatened with closure, Jason Bateman and his boss try to save it by throwing a massive Christmas party. Chaos ensues in this comedy that also stars Olivia Munn, Jennifer Aniston, Kate McKinnon, and Courtney B. Vance.

Bateman plays Josh, a manager at Zenotek, a computer tech company with a branch in Chicago. T.J. Miller is his boss, Clay, who also happens to be the son of the company's founder. Aniston is Clay's sister, Carol, who runs the company. Just before Christmas, Carol announces that she'll lay off workers or flat out close the Chicago branch unless Clay and Josh find a way to double quarterly profits in just a few days.

Their plan is to convince Courtney B. Vance's company to hire Zenotek instead of, say, Dell. To close the deal, they invite Vance to the big office Christmas party they're planning since it might be their last one. And, if you think that plot sounds like a mess, just wait until the Russian mob gets involved!

Overall review: ** I'm giving it two stars because the actors do their best. But, they don't really have a lot to work with. The comedy here relies on the most base elements (i.e. sex, drugs, car chases, etc.), none of which are very funny. You don't need to attend this party to know what happens.
