The Odd Life of Timothy GreenAugust 3, 2013 - A married couple struggling to conceive gets a big surprise when their desire for a child suddenly materializes into a real-life little boy. Jennifer Garner heads a recognizable cast in this 2012 fantasy produced and based on a story by Ahmet Zappa (of the Frank Zappa offspring). Garner and Joel Edgerton play Cindy and Jim Green, a young couple who want desperately to have a child of their own. On the day when their last option seems to have been exhausted, they write notes about what their child would be like. Then, they put the notes in a box and bury it in the garden. That night, there's a fierce storm, and soon, a dirt-covered boy who calls himself Timothy makes himself at home. Jim and Cindy aren't quite sure how to explain Timothy's appearance to friends and family. They also don’t know what to make of the leaves that grow from his legs. Overall review: *** Not a bad movie at all. It's on the predictable side, but it held my interest and the fall colors make it very nice to look at. |
